Chicken Pizza Recipe

Cooking Instructions:
Marinate all chicken pieces in the spices listed above for chicken marination and leave them for 30 minutes. After that you can either steam the marinated chicken or you can shallow fry it. To cook chicken on steam, you have to boil water in a deep sauce pan and place chicken pieces on the strainer and put the strainer over boiling water. Then cover the pan and cook on low heat for 15 minutes until chicken becomes tender. If you want to shallow fry chicken pieces, put 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a pan and then put marinated chicken pieces and cook for 10-15 minutes until chicken become dry and tender. Now you have to assemble the pizza. Take a pre-made pizza dough and spread it onto your pizza pan. Now make a layer of pizza sauce on it, put the chicken pieces evenly, make a cheese layer as much as you like and put some pieces of vegetables mentioned is the pizza topping list. In the end, sprinkle some oregano and rosemary to add great pizza odor. Now you can put the pizza pan in preheated oven for 10 minutes at 250 degree centigrade and turn on both upper and lower flame. Take out the pizza after 10 minutes when it turns light brown from sides and all the cheese melts. For right baking, reduce the oven temperature to 200 degree centigrade after 5 minutes and turn off the lower flame as well. It will make your dough soft from inside and have wonderful color on top.

Vegetarian Pizza Recipe

With so many possibilities, vegetarian pizza recipes can suit every taste and are open to interpretation and creation. Experiment, enjoy, and share!

Whether you bake a lot of pizzas or are completely new to them, they are one of the most enjoyable and rewarding things to cool. Some pizza restaurants make terrible pizzas, being oily and full of fat, but when you bake them yourself, you will be able to control every aspect of them, especially if you're vegetarian and have your very own vegetable pizza recipe. You can add all of your favourite ingredients, and eliminate all of the fatty and greasy components that you dislike.

\"Pizza Recipe\"

Having the control over the ingredients also means you can use ones that you have grown yourself in your very own garden. Since vegetables are so common and easy to grow in your backyard, they are fantastic to add to your pizza recipe. The base itself is also quite easy to make as it is a simple dough. You can also modify it to suit your needs and likes, such as using wholemeal or gluten-free flour, which is sure to be able to suit every vegetarian. The pizza sauce is traditionally tomato based, but you can change that for whatever you like, even a jam if you're so inclined!

Vegetarian Pizza Recipe

As you can see, experimenting with pizzas and all sorts of combinations is definitely possible and limitless. As I've eluded to, you're not limited to vegetables and savoury pizzas. Although very uncommon, it is also possible to make sweet pizzas to serve as a desert. You can sweeten the dough a little by adding sugar, and you can add jams, chocolates, and lollies for toppings. Just make sure the lollies don't melt in the oven and make a good old mess!

Getting the kids involved over the school holidays is also a great idea and something they'll remember and share with their friends for a long time to come. With so many possibilities, vegetarian pizza recipes are all about what you make of them. Enjoy!

Feta Cheese And Spinach Pizza Recipe

The most popular pizza in the United States is topped with mozzarella, tomato sauce, and pepperoni but sometimes it is nice to try something different. If you are looking for new recipe ideas, what about trying the following feta cheese and spinach pizza recipe?

The bold flavors go together perfectly. The addition of olives, fresh rosemary, and feta cheese give this pizza a wonderful Greek flavor. If you do not have spinach, you can use chard instead. Make sure it is tender and seasoned well before adding it. This recipe makes two nine inch pizzas or one fifteen inch one.

\"Pizza Recipe\"

This pizza is a nice one to make for kids as well as adults. If you are catering for a buffet you could even make this and serve it hot, warm, or chilled. You can double the recipe if you like and make a big rectangular one, which you can then slice into squares. Leftover pizza keeps well in the refrigerator for a couple of days but this one is so good it is unlikely you will have any leftover!

Feta Cheese And Spinach Pizza Recipe

Take care not to overcook the spinach. It will only take a minute to wilt and it needs to keep its bright green color, else it will go soggy and lose some of its flavor. Put the cooked greens in a chilled metal colander or sieve when they are done so they will cool down faster. The combination of three cheeses in this recipe helps to make it extra special and the feta, in particular, is amazing with the spinach.

What You Will Need:

  • Pizza dough
  • 1/2 thinly sliced red onion
  • 1 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 6 chopped, pitted kalamata olives
  • 1 teaspoon minced lemon rind
  • 8 cups rinsed, de-stemmed spinach
  • 3 oz crumbled feta
  • 2 finely chopped cloves garlic
  • 1/2 oz grated parmesan
  • 1/4 lb grated mozzarella
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary
  • Garlic oil, salt and pepper

How To Make It:

Heat two teaspoons of the oil in a pan and saute the red onion with some salt and pepper for five minutes or until tender. Add half the garlic and cook for one minute. Transfer the mixture into a bowl.

Heat the rest of the oil in the pan and wilt the spinach with a pinch of salt and pepper and the remaining garlic. After one minute or when the spinach has wilted but is still brightly colored, take it out of the pan and let it cool. Use your hands to squeeze out the excess moisture then chop it and toss it with the lemon peel. Preheat the oven to 500 degrees F. Roll out the dough and put it on a greased peel or pan.

Brush the garlic oil over it, and then spread the onion over the crust and the spinach. Sprinkle the olives, feta, and mozzarella on top. Bake it for ten minutes or until the crust is crispy and golden brown. Sprinkle some rosemary and parmesan over the top and serve.

Feta Cheese And Spinach Pizza Recipe

There are great pizza recipes for any occasion and making a Greek pizza with spinach and feta is a very good idea. You can make the whole pizza yourself using a homemade pizza dough recipe or you can buy a pizza crust and prepare the toppings yourself.

The Greatest Pizza Recipe Of All Time

Are you looking for the best pizza recipe in the history of the world? There are a lot of people and restaurants out there who claim that they have the "best" recipe for making pizza. Preparing pizzas is somewhere between an art and a science. While quality pizzas tend to have certain general characteristics, pizzas made by different people and restaurants will have a unique flavor.

The four "cornerstones" of a quality pizza are the crust, sauce, cheese, and toppings. All of these components are crucial for making the perfect pizza. However, arguably the best method is to prepare the pizza from the bottom-up. And that begins with the foundation of the pizza-the crust.

\"Pizza Recipe\"

On one hand, pizza dough is simple to make. The ingredients are somewhat basic and easy to find. They include: flour, yeast, water, oil, and a little sugar. However, not all types of pizza dough are the same. The amount of each ingredient can differ. And the dough may even include some special ingredients. Also, the ingredients can be used to make pizza crusts of different thicknesses. This can range from a pizza recipe used for thin and crispy crust, to deep-dish pizza.

The Greatest Pizza Recipe Of All Time

When making pizza from scratch, it's crucial that all of the ingredients are as fresh as possible. In particular, it's important that the yeast is as fresh as a summer breeze. If the yeast doesn't become bubbly after sitting for 10 minutes (via the process of "proofing"), then that means that it wasn't fresh enough. You'll need to toss the yeast and start all over again.

The "perfect" crust is subjective. Essentially you'll need to use a recipe that creates the best crust to your liking. Sure, you could make some adjustments if you're not satisfied with the end result. But the essence of the recipe should remain the same. This will create the perfect foundation for the perfect pizza.

The good news is that you can easily find a pizza recipe for pizza crust, via different online and offline sources. That means that you won't need to reinvent the wheel. People have already done the experimentation needed to create the essence of quality crusts. All you need to do is search until you find the right crust to your liking.

What makes a "good" pizza dough for pizza crust? When making pizza, flavor is the name of the game. Yes, it's important for there to be a balance of flavors-no single component of the pizza should overpower the rest of the pizza. However, it's also important that the pizza crust be flavorful.

Another important aspect of quality pizza crust is the texture. Look for pizza dough that produces crust with the perfect consistency. It should be crispy, but not have the consistency of cardboard. It should also be chewy, but not have the texture of rubber.

Remember that a bottom-up approach to making pizzas begins with the crust. If you get the crust right, then you've established a solid foundation for your construction of the perfect pizza.

Heart Healthy Pizza Recipe That Actually Reduces Cholesterol

Everybody loves Pizza worldwide right? The delicious savory smell of the cheese and the tomatoes and all the other toppings and herbs. If you're not already heading off towards the direction of the refrigerator, stick around and listen up for a moment. The problem is that most Pizzas have a relatively high saturated fat content - and that's bad news if you are trying to look after your heart health, or you are battling against high blood LDL Cholesterol levels.

The British Heart Foundation recommends a total daily fat intake of 95 grams for men and 70 grams for women. If you eat a half of a typical stuffed crust 14 inch pepperoni Pizza you will consume approximately 75 grams of fat. So you could regularly way exceed your daily fat limit with the additional dietary fat intake from other foods during the rest of the day. If you have been told to avoid cheese you may despair as you suffer that craving for your favourite food - Pizza!

\"Pizza Recipe\"

What if there was a type of Pizza that was not only friendly to your heart health, but actually REDUCED your Cholesterol level, the more you ate (within reason). Sounds too good to be true? Well the good news for pizza lovers everywhere is that it is now possible. Unbelievable - a heart healthy Pizza packed with healthy ingredients that is kind to your heart and health.

Heart Healthy Pizza Recipe That Actually Reduces Cholesterol

A new type of Cholesterol lowering cheese.

The breakthrough came with the introduction of a new type of cheese, which has all the flavour of a mature cheddar, but can be used as a topping for Pizza or Lasagna. In the United Kingdom this product is known as miniCol. This is a healthy alternative to 'normal' cheese and is perfectly safe to eat or cook with, for people with concerns about cholesterol levels.

The difference between traditional cheddar and miniCol is that miniCol is made from milk, which has had virtually all of its dairy fat removed and replaced with wheatgerm oil, which is high in polyunsaturated fat and plant sterols. Most plants contain Sterols which are natural substances found as component parts of certain vegetable oils. Plant sterols are effective in lowering cholesterol by blocking the absorption of cholesterol from the diet, and also by stopping the re-absorption of cholesterol produced by the liver. Studies have shown that miniCol is proven to be capable of reducing blood cholesterol levels.

You can find out motre information about miniCol here: http://www.emmi-minicol.ch/news/

Pizza Margherita Recipe (enhanced)

This recipe is for a basic 14 inch Pizza Margherita, but you can easily add further healthy toppings such as tuna, chicken or extra lean beef (raw meat to be marinated and precooked). Because you make it yourself you know and control what goes into it. The manufacturers recommended daily amount of miniCol Cheese is 65 grams per person, so the recipe contains 130 grams - enough for 2 servings.

You have two choices for the base - you can either make your own using one of the excellent home bread making machines now available, or buy a pre-made pizza base from the grocery store.

Pizza Ingredients

Dough (enough for 2 Pizzas)

  • Water - 1 cup
  • Strong Bread Making Flour - 3 Cups
  • Dried Milk Powder - 2 Tablespoons
  • Sugar - 2 Teaspoons
  • Low Sodium Salt Substitute - 1 Teaspoon
  • Yeast - 2 ½ Teaspoons

All you need to do to make the dough is to throw all these ingredients into the breadmaker and hit the 'pizza dough' button. An hour or so later you will have a ball of dough ready to roll into a pizza base.

Rest of Pizza

  • Tomato Paste Tube
  • 4 cloves of garlic - finely chopped
  • 1 Teaspoon of Ground Black Pepper
  • Mixed Herbs - 2 Tablespoons
  • 1 Onion - chopped
  • 2 tomatoes- sliced
  • 1 onion - sliced
  • 1 Green Capsicum - sliced
  • Olive Oil
  • 130 grams of 'miniCol' cheese - grated

Assembling and cooking the Pizza

  • Cut the dough ball into 2 halves. You can freeze one half for another time.
  • Spread some flour onto the worktop and coat the dough
  • Use a rolling pin and roll out the dough to the size of the Pizza cooking tray
  • Spread a small amount of Olive Oil onto the pizza baking tray and rub around with some kitchen towel (this will stop the base from sticking)
  • Place the pizza base onto the baking tray
  • Spread Tomato paste from the tube evenly around the pizza base
  • Sprinkle the freshly chopped garlic evenly into the tomato paste
  • Assemble the tomato, onion and capsicum slices evenly around the pizza base
  • Sprinkle the black pepper over the ingredients
  • Spread the grated cheese over the top of the ingredients
  • Sprinkle the mixed herbs onto the top of the cheese - done

The completed Pizza should be baked in the oven at 200 degrees for approx. 10 minutes and served with fresh salad and a glass of red wine.

Leftover Pizza Recipes

Are looking for the quickest pizza recipe, the easiest pizza recipe, and the best tasting pizza recipe? Look no further then last night's leftovers.

That's right. Those containers of recently munched on Chinese food, that uneaten slab of beef those leftover stir fry veggies or the vodka sauce from last night's pasta can all help you harness the power of the pizza gods and bestow upon you a terrific tasting, one of a kind pizza.

\"Pizza Recipe\"

Not sold on using leftovers to make pizza? An added bonus of making "leftovers" pizza is that it simplifies the pizza making process; allowing pizza to take its rightful place as the mid-week, after work, after grad-school, after the gym dinner that it was intended to be.

Leftover Pizza Recipes

Before you go all willy-nilly-mad-scientist on your pizza, you might consider the following:

o Don't overtop your pizza

Imagine, if you will, what the bottom of your oven will look like caked with pizza toppings. Or worse, how your pants or shirt will look stained with pizza sauce. Despite my personal beliefs, pizza stained clothes never impress or so I am told. So be sure to use an appropriate amount of toppings. And that goes for calzones too, which tend to leak if overstuffed.

o Don't mix flavors that taste bad together

Braunsweiger and peanut butter or how about sweet and sour chicken and refried beans? Unless you are under attack by mid-pregnancy flavor cravings,it's better to stick with the flavor pairings that you already know and love.

o Avoid wet soggy leftovers if possible

While this may seem like a no brainer, cold items can fool you. Even a mildly moist item may leak fluid when heated.

o Experimenting with pizza toppings is always fun

It is always fun to experiment with pizza toppings to create new pizza recipes. Try changing your cheese combinations; who is up for an asiago/fontina blend over beef and broccoli leftovers? Maybe add a little cheddar, brie, or chabichou du poitou to your mozzarella topping to spice things up a bit.

Using leftovers on pizza can be a fun, fast, easy way to enjoy the original meal a second time, not to mention that it will free up room in the fridge. Who knows when you will create the ultimate pizza recipe that will transform pizza forever. Or most likely, you will just have a terrific pizza dinner and a wonderful pizza recipe.

Bake or broil your pizza until cheese melts. Cool down for a 5 minutes and enjoy.

Vegetable Pizza

Start with a whole-wheat crust. Top it with these:

Again bake it as an example above. Until cheese is melted.

Hummus Pizza

On top of your crust spread fat free hummus and top with:

The Best Pizza Recipe Ever

Wondering wow to make the best pizza crust recipe? Read this, and wonder no more.

Ingredients:

  • .25 oz. packet of active dry yeast
  • 1/4 teaspoon of granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup 110 degree water
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

\"Pizza Recipe\"

Method:

  1. Pour the water into a large mixing bowl. Add the sugar and the yeast. Allow the mixture to rest for a minute or two.
  2. Add the extra virgin olive oil and salt.
  3. Add the flour.
  4. Mix. A counter-top mixer with a dough hook attachment makes this step easier; however, a fork can be used until the dough becomes too sticky. Once the dough is at the really sticky point, push off the dough that has collected around the fork prongs with your thumb and finger and continue to mix by hand.
  5. When the dough has been thoroughly mixed, knead for two to three minutes. Some people like to knead the dough on a flour covered countertop It is just as easy to continue to knead the dough in the same mixing bowl.
  6. Cover the dough with a dry towel. Allow the dough to proof for three to four hours at room temperature. Do not place the dough in the refrigerator. If you do not have the time to wait for the dough to proof, then substitute more water for the extra virgin olive oil. When using only water, you may have to adjust the amount of water and/or flour depending upon the consistency of the dough.
  7. Divide the dough in half and form into balls. Proofed dough balls can be stored refrigerated between five and seven days or sometimes longer. For longer lasting dough, skip step six. When the stored dough gets puffy and/or bubbly, it has gone bad and needs to be thrown away.

The Best Pizza Recipe Ever

This dough recipe is for two thin crust pizzas.

Stretching the Dough:

Method One:

To hand stretch, punch the middle of the dough ball with the palm of your hand. Then, press around the edges with your fingers, leaving about ¼ inch width between the absolute edge of the dough and your fingertips. Lay both hands on the dough so that if you are right handed, your right index fingertip lies on top of your left index fingertip. Spread your fingers out wide, and your thumb tips should come together to form a straight line.

Your fingertips should be resting in the line you made at the edge of the dough. Rotate your hands at the wrists, keeping your fingers against the dough. Continue stretching the dough in this manner until you have an approximately twelve inch round dough skin. Make sure there is enough flour on the countertop to keep the dough from sticking.

A variation on this method is called "slapping the dough." To do this, stretch out the dough in the above prescribed method, but stop once the dough skin is slightly wider than your hand. Then pick up the skin in your one hand. If you are right handed, pick it up with your right hand, but if you are left handed pick it up with your left hand. Make sure the skin is hanging from your fingertips.

Now toss the dough skin to your other hand, catching it with your fingertips. With each catch of the dough, the palm of your hand should hit or "slap" the middle of the dough skin, while your fingers will catch at the edges and stretch the skin out a little bit at a time.

Method Two:

Make sure there is enough flour on the countertop to keep the dough from sticking, and then flatten out the dough ball with your hands. Make a fist with your right hand, and hang the dough skin on that fist. Make a fist with your left hand and place it underneath the dough opposite your right. Move your fists around the edges of the dough, keeping them opposite each other on the dough skin until you have an approximately twelve inch dough skin.

Method Three:

Make sure there is enough flour on the countertop to keep the dough from sticking, and then flatten out the dough ball with your hands. Take a rolling pin to the dough skin, and roll out the dough as thin as you can get it.

Dough stretching methods one and two produce a slightly thicker hand tossed taste. Using a rolling pin forces all of the air out of the dough skin, and will create a very cracker like crust.

Flavoring the dough:

The dough can be flavored two different ways. The simplest method is to visit your dried spice rack. At the point where you knead the dough, add dry granulated garlic, basil, oregano, or whatever you feel like.

The second method involves controlling the type of oil you use in your dough mixture. Extra virgin olive oil is not necessary to the recipe. You can use any type of oil you want-vegetable oil, corn oil, almond oils, or even avocado oil. Or you can be creative and combine different types of oil. Extra virgin olive oil is more of the traditional oil used in making pizza crusts; however, each oil will give you a very different taste profile.

Another way of controlling the type of oil you use is to infuse the olive oil with herbs. To infuse the olive oil, heat the oil in a sauce pan until it is warm. Have a bottle ready stuffed with the herbs and spices of your choice. Pour the warm oil into the bottle, cap, and store in a dark, cool place for two weeks. Next, strain out the herbs and refrigerate the oil until you are ready to use. If you use garlic, make sure you refrigerate the oil right away though.

Storing the Dough:

Though you can, raw dough should never be frozen. Freezing breaks down the water inside the molecules and makes food in general mushy. If you really want to freeze your dough skins, stretch them out, bake them half-way through, and then wrap them tightly.

Cooking the Pizza:

The problem with cooking pizza at home is that most people don't have a pizza stone. A pizza must be cooked from the top and the bottom at the same time, and a pizza stone facilitates this. A cookie sheet slows the heat reaching the bottom of the crust, and the middle of the crust will not be as crispy as the outer edges.

Fortunately, a cheap pizza stone will cost only around twenty-five dollars. If you want, you can spend several hundred dollars on a pizza stone too. If you don't want to invest in a pizza stone, go ahead and use a cookie sheet, but par-bake the dough skin without any of the toppings. Once par-baked, pull the crust out, allow to cool, then load on the toppings and cook the rest of the way.

  • 1 pint fresh strawberries
  • 2 sliced kiwis
  • 3 large sliced bananas

  • ¼ cup water

Fruit Pizza Recipe Ideas: Fresh Fruit Pizza With Orange Sauce Recipe

How to Make It

About 20 minutes before preparation time you will need to lay the sugar cookie dough and the cream cheese out onto the counter to soften to room temperature.

Prepare a pizza pan or baking sheet by lightly coating it with cooking spray and then set aside until needed.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Press the cookie dough onto the prepared pizza pan or baking sheet while forming a rim around the edges by gently pinching up the sides as you work around the pizza crust on the pan.

Place in the preheated oven to bake for about 10 minutes or until the crust is a light golden brown in color. Remove from oven and allow the crust to completely cool to the touch.

Using a medium size mixing bowl and an electric mixer you will add the cream cheese and then blend until it is smooth and fluffy. Add the whipped topping and blend well together. Spread this mixture evenly over the completely cooled pizza crust.

Slice all but one of the strawberries in halve. You will use this one whole strawberry at the center of the pizza and then begin arranging the other fruits on the crust in a decorative pattern.

Add the whole strawberry and then begin arranging the kiwis and sliced bananas around it and working outward. Arrange the sliced peaches and the pineapple chunks. Add the remaining strawberries halves last, while arranging them with the pointed ends facing the inside of the dessert pizza. Place in the refrigerator to chill.

To make the orange sauce, you will add the salt, cornstarch and sugar to a small saucepan over a medium heat. Gradually stir in the orange juice and the lemon juice. Mix well and then add the water. Keep stirring while boiling until the mixture becomes thickened. Continue boiling and stirring for about 1 more minute and then remove from heat.

Allow the orange sauce to completely become cool and then spoon the orange sauce over the pizza toppings. Place the fresh fruit pizza in the refrigerator to chill overnight or for at least 3 to 4 hours before cutting and serving.

How to Marinate Steaks - 6 Steps to Have the Perfect Steak

If you are grilling out, you will want to know how to marinate the steaks before you start. Whether you choose steak or chicken, these simple steps will help you have the perfect grilled meat of your choice. Here are some quick steps to help you get the perfect steaks.

1. Choose Your Meat - When grilling steaks, the best cuts are flank, sirloin and round. Tougher meats can be better for grilling than more expensive cuts.

\"pizza Crust\"

2.  Add Spices - Next, you will want to choose some spices to add to the meat. Many people prefer to just use salt and pepper. Just rub the salt and pepper all over the steak.

3. Choose Your Marinade - Next you will need to choose a marinade for your steaks. Italian dressing and Worcestershire sauce can be great. KC Masterpiece and Lawry's also make some great marinades for steaks. Adding something acidic like lemon juice to your recipe will help make your steaks even more tender.

4. Add Your Marinade - Put your steaks in a freezer bag or container. If in a container, coat them with the marinade and flip them around a few times to make sure they are properly coated. If you put them in a freezer bag, just pour in the marinade, seal the bag, and shake it around to fully coat the steaks.

5. Refrigerate - Next you will need to refrigerate your steaks anywhere from 2 hours to 24 hours. The longer the better, just don't exceed 24 hours as the steaks will start to get mushy after that.

6. Grill - After you have properly marinated your steaks you can fire up the grill and get started!

Deciding what to eat is always a challenge, especially with Diabetes. However, pizza is definitely one of those foods that everyone loves and craves. Well, yes, you can, but you need to understand some of the nutritional content of pizza to figure out how to incorporate it into your new and healthier lifestyle.

Pizza does have healthy elements on it like cheese, and vegetables. However, the foundation of a pizza is crust, and crust is bread. Bread is not a bad thing when it is used in normal does.

However, bread is full of carbohydrates, and typically, pizza dough is built with simple carbohydrates, which are essential sugars. It is precisely these carbohydrates that can cause you problems in the first place. How to Dress Up a Brownie Mix

Brownies are an all time favorite treat and there are lot of recipes using brownie mix.

But did you know how easy it is to take a box of brownie mix and elevate it from simple to sensational, even without a recipe? Here are some of my favorite ideas for dressing up a boxed brownie mix that don't even require a recipe.

\"Pizza Recipe\"

1. Stir something extra into the batter.  Stir in 1 to 2 cups of something extra like chopped nuts, chocolate chips, chopped candy bars, coconut, or chopped cookies.  My favorite brownie additions include chopped Oreos, peanut butter cups, or peppermint patties.

2. Frost your brownies.  Either store bought or homemade frosting will work. Chocolate, cream cheese, coconut pecan, cream cheese, or peanut butter frosting all are delicious on brownies.  And chocolate ganache (chopped chocolate melted with warm cream) will give your brownies a shiny, fancy finish.

3. Add your favorite flavor or extract. Just a teaspoon or two of instant coffee powder, mint extract, or orange extract stirred into your brownie batter will add a custom touch to your brownie mix.

4.  Spice them up.  Give your brownies the flavor of Mexican chocolate by stirring a teaspoon of cinnamon and pinch of cayenne into the batter.

5. Add a swirl. Drop spoonfuls of raspberry jam, orange marmalade or cream cheese filling over the surface of the brownie batter once it's in the pan, and then swirl it around with the tip of a butter knife.

6. Add a topping.  This can be done either before or after your brownies are baked.  Chopped nuts, chocolate chips, and M&Ms can be added before baking.  Or give your brownies the taste of Smores by adding a layer of mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, and chopped graham crackers once they are baked.  Just place the pan back under the broiler until melted and golden.

Soft-Crust Pizza

Note: If you like soft, chewy pizza, here is a low-carb version that will please you. Soft and thicker crusts require more dough, though, which makes the carb count rise. Make this pizza an occasional treat - perhaps to keep you from running to a pizza parlor or calling for delivery.

Regular pizza dough usually calls for about 3 cups of flour (if you want to make pizza at home). You can make a big pizza with all that flour, but one slice of a 16-inch pizza could have 34.0 grams of carb just for the crust. You can see what you are up against. Regular pizzas are true carb killers. This crust has 7.7 grams of carb per serving.

\"pizza Dough\"

SERVING SIZE,1 slice (12-inch pizza).
CARBS PER SERVING, (CRUST ONLY): 7.7 grams of carb.
NUMBER OF SERVINGS: 8.

Ingredients:
½ cup cold water
1/3 cup hot water
4 Tablesps olive oil
1 package rapid-rise yeast
¾ cup stone ground whole-wheat flour
½ cup whole almond meal
½ cup soy protein powder
salt (about ¼ Teasp or to taste)

Preheat oven to 450ºF. Lightly oil a 14-inch pizza pan.

Combine the cold water, boiling water, and olive oil in a medium-size mixing bowl. Add the yeast and stir. While the yeast activates (it needs to adds sugar), combine the stone ground whole-wheat flour, almond meal, soy protein powder (except for the last Tablesp), and salt in another mixing bowl; stir. Add the dry mix to the yeast mix and stir with a fork until the moisture is pretty well absorbed. Work the dough by hand until smooth (it takes a few seconds). Cover the bowl and let the dough rise for about 10 minutes.

While the dough rises, prepare sauce and toppings (see pages 186 and 187).

Spread the dough to fit the pizza pan and form an edge. Build the pizza. Bake for about 15 to 18 minutes or until bubbly and done.

Kids' Parties Favorite Party Foods

If you are planning the menu for your child's birthday party, the most important thing to remember is that most kids are very easy to please when it comes to traditional birthday faire. Your main objective is to make the food, fun!

Cake and ice cream is a given. If you have access to an ice cream maker, homemade ice cream is much preferred over even the most expensive store brand. Kids love participating. Make the ice cream base the night before and chill thoroughly. Kids can help layer the salt and ice cream and will be fascinated when the liquid ice cream base turns into ice cream. An electric ice cream maker takes about 45 minutes, so plan some activities or games in the mean time. Or start the ice cream at the beginning of the party.

\"cheese Pizza\"

If you're using store bought ice cream, scoop out and place in cupcake paper liners and then re-freeze. It's MUCH easier to serve this way. If you want to get fancy, use a small or miniature ice cream scoop, and then roll the scoops in shredded coconut, cocoa, chocolate sprinkles, miniature chocolate chips, crushed nuts then re-freeze.

You may want to stick with vanilla or at least offer vanilla as an alternative. Many children are allergic to chocolate or specific ingredients, found in other flavors.

The same goes with cake... if possible, homemade is best. You might choose to bake a small cake (to put candles in) and cupcakes for each of the guests. Cupcakes are much easier to serve, when dealing with a roomful of excited guests.

Another alternative is a huge cookie baked in a pizza pan and then decorated with Happy Birthday. Use refrigerated prepared cookie dough and place the slices touching each other so they merge together when baked. When the cookie is still hot from the oven place big gumdrops on the cake, one for every birthday year, and push into the cookie. The gumdrop will melt a bit and adhere to the cookie. You can then place a candle in each gumdrop and they won't fall over.

Pizza is always a fairly safe bet when it comes to favorite foods for kid's parties. It's not overly messy and doesn't have to be fancy to be good. Consider plain cheese pizza or two or three 'one item' choices such as all pepperoni or all mushroom. Some kids are finicky when it comes to toppings if they're all mixed together.

Most kids won't turn down hot dogs or hamburgers... especially the mini version. Serve them with french fries and fruit salad, for a yummy combination.

Offer a variety of drinks, some of which should be unsweetened. Milk, bottled water and juice are much better choices than soda or lemonade.

Your child will have a fun party with these favorite foods.

Turkey Breast Cooking Time

It is easy to make a moist succulent turkey breast by following a few helpful hints:

* Place your turkey breast in a shallow roasting pan, to allow the heat to circulate well.

\"pizza Crust\"

* Place one inch of water in the bottom of the pan to help keep your turkey moist and tender.

* Brush the turkey breast lightly with oil, and cover liberally with your favorite herbs, spices, or seasonings.

Make a tent out of aluminum foil and place this over the turkey breast to hold in heat for even cooking. You will want to remove the aluminum foil during the last hour and a half of cooking for a nice golden brown color.

Check the water level periodically and add more water if needed. This juice and herb infused mixture can be used to make nice turkey gravy after the turkey is done cooking.

The typical turkey breast cooking times for thawed turkey breast at 325 to 350 degrees in a conventional oven are:

* 2 to 3 pounds - 1.5 to 2 hours

* 4 to 6 pounds - 2.5 to 3 hours

* 7 to 8 pounds - 3 to 4 hours

It is perfectly safe to take your turkey breast directly from the freezer and cook it in the oven, without thawing. Just make sure to remove the neck and giblets first.

This will increase the the turkey breast cooking time by approximately fifty percent.

* Place your frozen turkey breast in a shallow roasting pan

* Place one inch of water in the bottom of the pan to keep your turkey moist and tender

* Brush the turkey breast lightly with oil, and cover liberally with your favorite herbs, spices, or seasonings.

Place a tent of aluminum foil over the turkey to hold in heat for even cooking, remove the aluminum foil during the last hour and a half of cooking for a nice golden brown color.

The typical turkey breast cooking times for a frozen turkey breast at 325 to 350 degrees in a conventional oven are:

* 2 to 3 pounds - 3 to 4 hours

* 4 to 6 pounds - 5 to 6 hours

* 7 to 8 pounds- 6 to 8 hours

It is important to cook your turkey breast at 325 to 350 degrees to make sure that it doesn't dry out, and to maintain a safe internal temperature in the meat.

The best way to check for doneness is to use a meat thermometer. The minimum safe internal temperature is 165 degrees. If you pierce the breast with a fork, the juices should run clear.

If you use a convection oven it will reduce the turkey breast cooking times above by approximately 25 percent. To be safe use a meat thermometer to test for doneness

Following these easy tips will ensure that you have a delectable meal that everyone will be raving about.
